Soap & Glory: What’s New?

It feels like forever since I’ve done one of these posts. Who’s been around for long enough to remember the good old skincare days. Where every week without fail there was something new from Boots or Superdrug? Oh they were the days, of empty bank accounts and far too many moisturisers. However, since streamlining my skincare routine and sticking to my diehard products, I rarely add anything new to the mix. That is of course until Soap & Glory send you a big ol’ PR package.

As you may know with PR packages, you’re never required to talk about them. There is no sponsorship or collaboration involved, it is simply if you want to. I’ve been trying and testing the products for a few weeks now and I’d love to share with you some of their new stuff.

// The Ultimelt \\

First up we have The Ulitmelt. One thing I love about S&G is their names. They always come up with such cool names and different play-on words. The Ulitimelt is a hot cloth cleanser, the first one I’ve ever tried. For those beauty lovers out there, you might be aware of the Liz Earle hot cloth cleanser… yeah, this is that but for a fraction of the price.

As I said, it’s the first one I’ve ever tried and I love it. It’s definitely more of a faff than a usual cleanser, but it’s so worth it. The heat opens up your pores to give you a real good cleanse and the scent is to die for. This one is definitely one of those ‘at home spa’ moments and I can see this sneaking in to my Sunday Night Routine.

// The Vitamin C Facial Wash \\

It’s too hard to pick which cleanser I prefer. They’re both so epic in their own right. So first up we have the Vitamin C Facial Wash. For me, I would say this is somewhere in between a face wash and an exfoliator. Look closely and you’ll see tiny little pink micro-beads in the cleanser. When washing your face, these give such a gentle cleanse and exfoliate that leave you feeling so fresh.

This cleanser is so fruity it’s unreal. Like it literally smells like a fruit bowl on your face. Yes, I just said that in a blog post. I was amazed by now refreshing this is and how smooth it left my skin. Because it ‘s a solid 10 on the freshness scale, I’d suggest using this one in the mornings to wake yourself up and set you up for the day ahead.

// The Puffy Eye Attack \\

Then we jump into my favourite product. Y’all know I’m a huge lover of face masks, sheet masks in particular. With my recent discovery of eye masks, I was more than excited to receive these bad boys in the post. The Puffy Eye Attack is an under eye, gel mask to reduce the sign of ageing and to brighten up those temperamental areas. The hydrogel patches are a really good way of waking you up and revitalising your under eye region.

You can use these in either the morning or the evening. I actually put the Glossier Moisturising Moon Mask all over my face, leaving room for these eye masks. Yep, my Sunday night was a blast. I was masked up to my eye balls (literally), with Countryfile on the TV and a cake in my hand. That’s how to do a Bank Holiday weekend!

// The Deep Cleansing Milk \\

And last but not least, the competitor to the Jelly Cleanser. The Deep Cleansing Milk. This. Smells. Incredible. Literally, it’s like rubbing an actual peach all over your face. This cleansing milk is the perfect, no fuss cleanser. For me, it’s definitely a strong contender in the competition to beat the Glossier Milky Jelly Cleanser. As you all know, that is my favourite cleanser in the whole world and there isn’t much that comes close. However, if you’re looking for something a little more budget friendly, then definitely try this one out. At just £8, you get waaayyyy more product for literally half the price.

Comparing it to Glossier, this is definitely more milky, than jelly-ey. Is that even a word? Probably not. This has a real milky texture that soaks into the skin nicely. It’s super hydrating and something I’ve been using in the evenings to ‘take the day off’. As I said, super hydrating, really budget friendly and the scent, well it’s just dreamy.

If you can’t tell by now, I’m super excited about these products. They’ve definitely made it into my ‘everyday skincare’ pile and It’s exciting to reach for something new everyday. I was sent these as part of the #BabesOfGlory campaign, so don’t forget to head over to Soap & Glory’s social media to learn all about that.

For now, I’m off for a hot cloth cleanse, so I’ll see you back here on Monday for my very first blog post as an unemployed, nearly traveler. Exciting times!
