New In Skincare | By Harrison

It has been a hot minute since I sat here and waffled on all about skincare. As I mentioned in The Admiral Grooming post, I’ve been so stuck in my ways when it comes to skincare. Glossier has been my go-to and that’s about that. Well, recently I’ve been delving deep into some new bits & bobs and I’m thrilled to share them with you. So get comfortable and grab yourself a drink, we’re going in!

// Moisture Balm \\

In my skincare collection, I always like to have two moisturisers on the go. One for more ‘everyday’ use that’s usually a little thinner in consistency and very easy to wear/apply. Then I like to have one that packs a punch in the moisture department. One for when I’m feeling super lacklustre and for those day’s when I have a shave and my skin is feeling more sensitive than usual.

This Moisture Balm from Admiral Grooming has taken the place of the latter. The thicker moisturiser that packs a punch. I’ve been using this for a good few weeks now and I’m in love. It’s such a lovely consistency, it gives a great finish and leaves my skin feeling amazing. If you want to bag yourself 25% off, then use code >>HBEACH25 << at checkout!

// Face & Eye Masks \\

Let’s start with the face masks, in particular the Garnier SkinActive range. If you’ve been a long time reader then you’ll know just how much of a fan I really am. I’ve now tried every single one and I’m such an advocate of them all. So when I saw this one on the shelves of Boots, I was so keen to try it. It’s a charcoal tissue mask that, well, is just perfect. A great addition to their already impeccable collection.

Then for the eye masks. I’ve never tried one before but after seeing quite a few people getting into them, I thought I’d hop on the bandwagon. Luckily I’m not one for under eye bags (yet) so I’ve not got much to worry about. I just find these are a really nice step in any skincare routine and something quite refreshing for the under eye. What’s even better? They’re stocked on ASOS and are pretty cheap!

// Face Mist \\

I was lucky enough to be invited to an event at The Body Shop for the launch of their summer range. Part of that range included these amazing new face mists. I picked the mint one as it was mattifying and that’s exactly what my skin needs. Having never been a huge lover of face mists, I’ll be honest, I wasn’t holding out much hope.

Having tried it for a few weeks, I can confirm just how good this really is. Here in the UK, the weather has been doing all kinds of weird & wonderful things recently and has been humid beyond belief. Having this face mist handy throughout the house has been a true lifesaver for those moments when I’m near death with just how hot it is and I need a little refreshment. A couple spray’s later and I’m a whole new man! Really, this has been a life saver this summer.

// Primer \\

Again, any long time readers of the blog will have heard all about my obsession with the Benefit Porefessional Primer. It was the one and only primer I had ever tried and the holy grail of my skincare routine. However, It ain’t cheap. I had been lucky enough to be gifted it for Christmas/birthday’s so never had the need to actually purchase it myself. Recently, I completely ran out so decided to look around for a replacement.

Hitting the pages of ASOS Beauty, I came across the brand 3ina. Probably one of the most instagrammable brands I’ve ever seen and luckily for me, they do a primer. This matte and smooth primer is just a fraction of the price of the Benefit one, works just as good (if not better) and actually, I think I’ve found a new favourite. It really takes away the shine to the skin & gives such a smooth finish. I’m really pleased with this gem & couldn’t recommend it enough.

So there you have it. My ramblings all about the new skincare in my collection. What are you favourite skincare products? Leave a comment below, I’m always looking for excuses to shop around. For now, I hope you have a cracking Monday & I’ll see you back here in a couple of days.
