Recently I’ve 100% been off my skincare game, massively. I’ve been sticking to the same old things, not trying anything new and living life, comfortably in the Glossier lane. So when I was invited to come along to The Body Shop in Southampton for the launch of their new summer range, I was definitely jumping on that bandwagon in the hope to reignite my love of skincare… and oh boy did it!?
The Body Shop’s ultimate aim is to transition to a Vegan friendly brand and it’s all started with their new summer range. Absolutely everything is vegan friendly which can only ever be a good thing. They’ve managed to do so without compromising on the quality of products which is something they should be so proud of. One of the showstoppers of the new line are their Body Yogurts. Instead of the classic Body Butter, The Body Shop have launch a Body Yogurt. A very similar premise to the Body Butter but instead, gel based meaning it sinks into the skin quicker. So quick, they’ve tested it and it only takes 15 seconds!
Alongside their Body Yogurts, they’ve also come out with new Hydrating Face Mists. Now I’m a complete sucker for a face mist. I think they’re such convenient products to just have on the side and especially as the weather is getting hotter, it’s nice to just have a little refreshing spritz every so often.
We were lucky enough to be given a goody bag to take away with us and in said goody bag, was a Face Mist. We were allowed to pick which one we wanted, so it would suit our specific skin types. I chose the mint one as it’s mattifying which let me tell you, I need!
It’s so important to treat your skin right, look after yourself and have a pamper here and then. Over these past few months, life has been so hectic especially with the announcement I made on Monday, Read that post >> HERE <<. I’ve been all over the place that I’ve neglected to pamper myself. I used to be a 1-a-week kinda guy when it came to face masks etc but I genuinely don’t think I’ve done one all year. Sad times.
Attending the event this week, it reminded me of the importance of treating yourself and almost made me fall in love with skincare again. There are so many incredible products and brands out there to try, they don’t all have to cost a complete fortune. Take these Body Yogurts for example, they’re just £8.50. That’s an incredibly good price for something that’s going to go a long way and make you feel good. If you’re going to try these, I’d highly recommend the Strawberry one… It literally smells of Hubba Bubba bubblegum, who remembers that stuff?
Remember, stop for a second, take a break and pamper yourself. You won’t regret it and trust me, it’ll do you the world of good!
I wasn’t paid for this post but I was invited to The Body Shop event for free & gifted products by them, in exchange for todays blog post. All opinions are of course, my own.
