Life Update | By Harrison

To the eagle-eyed among you, my friends & family or even my work colleagues… You’ll all know that something has been coming for a very long time. I’ve been planning away, behind the scenes, getting ready for the big day… MY BIG ANNOUNCEMENT. For anyone subscribed to my Youtube channel, you would’ve seen a video went live yesterday that explained everything. If you missed that, well then you should be subscribed… please do so >> HERE << Or at least, watch the video which can be found below.

I thought as well as the video, I’d do a little life update over here on the blog. A lot has been happening, a lot is going to happen and it’s only right I keep you all in the loop. So grab yourself a drink, maybe some snacks and get comfortable. Welcome to my Life Update.

// New Zealand \\

I should probably start with the biggest one of all. I’m moving to New Zealand for a few years. I know, pretty huge! It’s something I’ve always wanted to do. As you know travel is my biggest passion in life and finally the time has come for me to bite the bullet, jack it all in and leave. I’ll be heading out there, staying with family (all explained in said video below), working & living, all whilst exploring. I’ll be travelling New Zealand, Australia, I quite fancy Thailand and any other country that’s within my reach. Yes, I’m pretty freakin‘ nervous, yes it’s a major thing to do but yes, I am so. damn. excited. I’ve been working up to this moment my entire life and finally, I’ll be living my dream and living a true life of wanderlust.

My Visa has been accepted, my flight has been booked and my work have been informed. Everything is in order & ready for the big move, it’s now just time to sort out all the little bits ready for when I actually go. My plan for when I get there is to get a job to start with, something part time and relaxed that allows me to not completely eat into the money I’ll be taking with me, meet new people and be able to afford a car and to fund future travels. JUST THINK OF THE CONTENT! Blog posts, vlogs, Instagrams… literally, I’m so excited!!

I still have a few months until I leave so there will be a lot of travel-related content here on the blog and over on my Youtube channel. I’ll keep you all up to date with my final months here in the UK.

// The Blog \\

This is something I’ve been thinking about for a long time and with the move to New Zealand on the horizon, it only seems fit to follow through on my plans with the blog. Currently, I post 3 days a week, Monday, Wednesday & Friday. Every Friday it’s a food related post. For a few months, I’ve been thinking of changing up the upload schedule, especially with me getting back into Youtube. 3 blog posts a week, 1 video a week & daily uploads on Instagram… it’s a lot to handle.

So with that in mind, I think I’m going to become more flexible with the upload schedule here on the blog. Monday’s and Wednesdays are staying as they are with Friday’s becoming a bit of a ‘free for all’. They’ll no longer be solely dedicated to food & sometimes, there just won’t be an upload. That way, it allows me to focus more on the quality of content for my Monday & Wednesday posts, it gives me more time to focus on video uploads and just takes away some of that pressure to upload 3 days a week.

Then when I’m actually in New Zealand, an upload schedule will completely fly out the window. There may be days at a time where I don’t have wifi or where I’ve been travelling around too much that I’ve not had time to write a post. Travelling doesn’t really conform to schedules. So think of this as easing off the rigid scheduling ahead of the NZ move.

// Me \\

And as for me, little old me. Well asides from the big old major news, everything is plodding along nicely. I’ve recently changed my hairstyle massively and I couldn’t be happier with it. I’ve had the same style for years, so the change has been a long time coming.

I’ve been attending some amazing blogger events and have met some incredible people. I’ve been using this opportunity to get back into Youtube, vlogging the events and getting used to being in front of the camera again. After all, I’m going to be vlogging the entire time I’m in New Zealand.

Well, I think that’s enough from me. I hope you’re with me in the fact that this is a very exciting time for me, some big changes are on the horizon and I cannot wait to bring you along with me, every step of the way.

I hope you’ve enjoyed your long, bank holiday weekend and I’ll see you back here on Wednesday!
