Alfresco Dining With Christchurch Harbour Hotel | By Harrison

Last week I was lucky enough to be invited to the launch of the Alfresco Dining at the Christchurch Harbour Hotel & Spa. Along with a few other Bournemouth Bloggers, we had a night full of laughter, photo taking and some really good chats. The food was delicious and the venue was absolutely incredible. Having never been to the hotel before, I really didn’t know what to expect.

A massive thank you to Victoria, the PR Manager for the hotel. She made us all feel so welcome in showing us around, talking us through the hotel & what they have to offer and to make sure we were fed & watered throughout the evening.

We started the evening on the terrace where we took full advantage of the open bar. Me being the designated driver, I was lucky enough to be offered the best fruit punch I’ve ever had. No joke, I preferred it to any of the alcoholic options. All the drinkers made sure to keep their prosecco glasses full & the bar in sight.

We then moved onto food. Firstly it was canapés which included Tuna, duck & Ham Hock which were all very delicious. Then came the Paella. A seafood paella served to us in a shell. Yes, a shell! I’m not usually the biggest lover of Paella, so I was pleasantly surprised when I tried this and ABSOLUTELY. LOVED. IT. It was so moorish, so full of flavour and cooked to complete perfection.

Then it was photoshoot time. Being bloggers, we’re constantly snapping all day long. But when it comes to an event like this, with an insane background and some of the most instagrammable shots, none of us could put our cameras down. When one person stopped shooting, another picked up the camera. This was very much the theme of the entire night.

This certainly caused a stir with the other guests of the hotel. Once down on the jetty with the whole hotel looking over us, it definitely felt like every single person stopped and watched as the photoshoots got underway.

What drew more attention to us was the professional photographer & the videographer that came to take join in. This little impromptu photoshoot was a bloggers dream.

The perfect sunset over the perfect evening.

This really was such a lovely evening. It didn’t at all feel like we were at an event. It simply felt like an evening out with a big group of friends. This little blogging community that I’ve been so lucky enough to be a part of, really is the best thing to have happened for such a long time. I feel so humbled to know all of these incredibly creative people!

A big thank you Christchurch Harbour Hotel & Spa for inviting us along. If you’re ever in the area, then definitely make sure you head here… even if it’s just for a glass to bubbly on the jetty to watch the sunset.

* This is not an AD. I was invited to the event for free with no requirement to write a blog post. All views are 100% my own.
