Christmas Party GRWM | By Harrison

This weekend saw me consume vast amounts of alcohol for the first time in over 2 years. Needless to say, as I write this post on Sunday, I’m not feeling too fresh. It was my office Christmas party where we all got dressed up and hit the town. Firstly for some food, quickly followed by plenty of alcohol, laughs and good times. I’m feeling festive and it feels oh so goooooooood.

With that In mind, I thought I’d talk you though what I did you get ready and how I prepped myself for the night…. starting with:

// The Prep \\

For the past week, to prep my skin to give me that glow glow glow, I have been using this Boots No7 Gradual Tan Moisturiser. I absolutely love this stuff. It’s so easy to use, it really evens out the skin tone and it’s NOT streaky at all. Not only that, but It’s an absolute bargain! Downside: you smell like biscuits.

// The Face \\

This is nothing you haven’t seen before. But onto the face and I was packing heaving in this area. Firstly to give moisture, I used the Glossier Moisturising Rich. Then to take away any shine it was the Benefit Porefessional (which I’m nearly all out of… sad times) and for any cover ups and brightening, it was onto the Glossier Stretch Concealer.

For brows, I upped my game slightly by robbing my mum’s Benefit Brow Pencil to add definition and sculpture. Then to set in place I used my trusty Glossier Boy Brow in the shade, Clear.

// Hair \\

The final piece of this Christmas party shaped jigsaw… Hair. I have a bit of a love hate relationship with my hair. I love it, I love how thick it is and when it looks good, it’s good. But my god, I absolutely hate doing it! It’s a faff, I can never seem to get it right first time and I’m sooooo indecisive. But hey, It all goes right on the night.

For hair, I started by using my new VO5 Dry Texturising spray. I actually use this whilst drying my hair as it helps with texture and moulding. I then used the Got2B putty to slick all the hair back and get it into position. Then for hold, I used my Silvikrin hairspray to keep it all into place.

I know it’s far too many products just for a night out, but that’s what the fun is all about. Roll on next year because I tell you what, I’m not making a habit out of this clubbing lark, it’s exhausting!
