Foody Friday | By Harrison

My First Time At WahacaProcessed with VSCO with hb2 preset

Today’s post is going to be a combination of a Foody Friday & a restaurant review. Recently a Wahaca has opened up near me and I couldn’t be happier. For any of you who don’t know, Wahaca is a Mexican street food restaurant and it’s bloody amazing. I went there for the first time the other day and was not disappointed.

Firstly, the service was amazing. I called to book a table & they said they were fully booked. The guy took my name anyway and said “If you turn up and give your name, I’ll see what I can do”. We arrived at the restaurant to a queue out the door… however the guy stuck to his promise, I gave my name and they sat us down straight away. Impeccable service!

Then moving on to the food. Well, I really have no complaints here. We stuck to the tapas style menu, going with the menu’s recommendation of 3 dishes per person. We each chose three dishes and shared them. Taco’s, quesadillas, humous… trust me, we had it all. There really wasn’t anything we disliked and by the end of it, the plates were empty and our stomachs were full.

Price wise, it’s a bargain. We had those six dishes and a drink each & it came to about £28. That’s pretty cheap for the amount of food and the quality. Great value for money.

So as you can probably guess, I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone… even if you’re not keen on Mexican food. It’s a great atmosphere, lovely food and the staff were all really friendly! I can’t wait to go back!

I hope you enjoy your weekends… I have a three day weekend so pretty buzzing for that. I’ll see you all back here on Monday!
