My Morning Routine | By Harrison

A couple of blog posts ago, I promised you a Morning Routine post. It’s taken me a while, but it’s finally here. I’ll tell you what, creating this blog post has made me realise just how many products I use, in the morning alone! I swear, I need help.

Anyway, let’s get on with it.

// Cleanse \\

The first thing I’ll do in the morning, is cleanse. As you would’ve seen from my ‘Morning Cleanse’ post >> HERE << I discovered a new trend of cleansing in the morning & I’m loving it. So this is the very first thing I’ll do (after brushing my teeth, obvs).

// Hair \\

On to hair and it’s just a 2-product step for me (or maybe 3). Firstly I use my hairdryer to give a lil’ volume. Then I calm it down and put it into place with the L’Oreal Studio Line Matt & Messy. I absolutely love this product as it’s really matte and doesn’t actually look like you have anything in your hair. It’s a great product and one I’ve been using for years.

I then set the whole thing with a shit-tonne of hairspray and we’re good to go.

// Face \\

Last but by no means least (and the step that needs the most attention). The face. For the face, I’m having a real content moment where I’m loving everything I’m using, It’s all agreeing with me and we’re in a good place. However, with the Glossier products not shipping here to the UK until October, I’m starting to panic… I’m running low.

Firstly I moisturise. 9 times out of 10, I’ll use the Glossier Priming Moisturiser however, sometimes I’ll mix it up and use the Origins Gel Moisturiser. I then prime my face with the Benefit Porefessional just to reduce the look of pores and eliminate shine. I then go in with the L’Oreal True Match concealer to cover any spots, marks or redness and the finish with the Glossier Balm Dot Com on my lips.

Out of all these products, if there was one that I’d like to replace it’s the Benefit Porefessional. I feel like I’m done with the whole silicone finish & I’m ready to explore the market for something else. Any suggestions? Please let me know!

So there you have it, a blast around my Morning Routine. The products I religiously use and the ones that make me look semi-normal in the mornings. Disclaimer: on the weekends are make zero effort, I wack on some moisturiser and lip balm and we’re good to go.
