Over the bank holiday weekend, Emma & I took the short journey down to Brighton to spend the day chilling, eating food and mooching round the shops. Honestly, It was the best day ever. We got to Brighton by about 9:00am, so we were super early and managed to get there before the crowds.
The day started with a little stroll on the beach. We took some pictures of and by the old pier before heading up into town to start looking round the shops.
We looked around the shops & The Lanes and to my surprise, I bought nothing! I know, shocker! We then went to the Brighton Pavilion and sat in the gardens for a while. There was music playing, dogs walking and the sun was shining. It was so relaxing, I could’ve stayed there all day… however, hunger hit. So by this point, it was time for lunch.
We went to Bella Italia for lunch, somewhere neither of us had been before. I highly recommend it to anyone, we had some pretty good pizzas!
After lunch, we head back into The Lanes to continue looking round and
accidentally fully on purpose, stumbled across Dum Dum Donuts. If any of you have watched Zoella’s Vlogs, you’ll fully understand exactly what I mean.
After that, with donuts in hand, we head straight for the beach to do some sunbathing. For a banking holiday & a Saturday, Brighton was surprisingly quiet. Sitting on the beach, eating our donuts and having deep chats was honestly the best escape. Nothing else mattered apart from getting a tan and chilling. I must do it more often.
Brighton has always had such a place in my heart. I first went there on my 21st birthday and have been back time and time again since. The vibe, the energy and the creativity is so captivating and contagious. Everyone is so individual, nobody judges and it’s the perfect mix between Bournemouth (where I live) and London. They do say it’s the city by the sea.
If any of you have never been, you really must go!
Check out the vlog below of our trip! It’s a pretty funny one… even if I do say so myself!
I hope you’ve enjoyed this post & the vlog to go with it. I absolutely loved this day and creating the video! The perfect way to spend a bank holiday.
Thanks for checking it out & I’ll see you back here on Wednesday!
